Construction of a family room addition carved into the existing rear slope resulted in a very narrow work area. The design consisted of new retaining walls to contain the cut slope and the development of a multi-level deck and seat wall radiating out from the house and stepping up the rear slope with hillside plantings to an upper terrace pool area and cabana.
